Dogs Smell Ovarian Cancer Tissue

Two dogs at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Vet Working Dog Center are learning how to smell tissue that is in early stages of ovarian cancer.  The dogs have been able to smell the cancerous tissue 100% of the time.  The dogs are part of an interdisciplinary research project to help scientists discover a chemical footprint that might lead to earlier diagnostic tests.  To read the full story and see the pups, click here.
