The 2018 American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting

(May 18, 2018) Just last month, three of OCRFA’s research advocates attended the 5 day AACR meeting in Chicago, Illinois to learn about new therapies and innovative technology, stay up to date on current projects, and attend lectures from ovarian cancer researchers such as Dr. Anil Sood of MD Anderson and Dr. Dineo Khabele of University of Kansas Medical Center.

In this report, ovarian cancer survivors and advocates Marcie Paul, Rebecca Esparza, and Annie Ellis talk about the highlights of the meeting and what’s going on in the ovarian cancer research world. They also talk about their participation in the Scientist <-> Survivor Program (SSP), a partnership between the scientific community and patient advocates across the globe, which includes a poster session presentation.
