amy-brandweinOvarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance is excited to announce that Chef Amy Brandwein joined us on February 22, 2017 at the 12th annual Turn Up the Heat: A Celebration of Women Chefs Gala as our inaugural “Chef on Fire”; our new acknowledgement to honor and recognize the accomplishments of a female chef in the Washington DC Metro Area.

Amy Brandwein is the owner and chef of Centrolina, a combined seasonal Italian restaurant and market that opened in CityCenterDC in spring 2015. Chef Brandwein’s culinary passion is authentic Italian cooking – in conjunction with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.  Prior to opening her own restaurant, Chef Brandwein has had a lustrous career as the opening chef de cuisine at Alba Osteria in Washington, DC in 2013, as well as launching Casa Nonna, the BLT Restaurant Group’s first Italian concept in Washington D.C and New York. She has also served as the chef de cuisine at Bebo Trattoria, and was the executive chef of Galileo da Roberto Donna in Washington, DC. Chef Brandwein graduated from L’Academie de Cuisine Culinary School and hails from Arlington, VA.
