Our annual Turn up the Heat! Gala celebrates the talents of women chefs and mixologists while raising important funds for programs that support ovarian cancer survivors.
The annual Turn Up the Heat! Gala is held every February in the Washington, DC area. The 2017 Turn Up the Heat! Gala will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. We will need pre-event and post-event help in addition to help during the event. Shifts will be:
- Shift 1 (3:00pm – 6:00pm): Logistics – Help check in volunteers and oversee parts of setup of the event
- Shift 2 (3:00pm – 6:00pm): Chef Check-In – Assist with loading in supplies with chefs; you will be required to carry and cart their materials from the parking garage to the event
- Shift 3 (4:00pm – 9:30pm): Registration and Auction Assist – Check in guests and assist with live auction and checkout
- Shift 4 (5:00pm – 9:00pm): Main Tasting Volunteers – Assist with sections of our main tasting including the photo booth, Restaurant Row, and answering questions of guests. Then assist the chefs as they load out their materials.
Plus, you will have a break to try the delicious food provided by the chefs!
