Turn up the Heat showcases the talents of women chefs and mixologists, guests sample food and beverage while raising important funds for programs that support ovarian cancer survivors.

In February, we hold our Turn Up the Heat event in Washington, DC. Volunteers are needed to help before, during, and after the event. Shifts will be:

  • Shift 1 (3:00pm – 6:00pm): Logistics – Help check in volunteers and oversee parts of setup of the event
  • Shift 2 (3:00pm – 6:00pm): Chef Check-In – Assist with loading in supplies with chefs; carry and cart their materials from the parking garage to the event
  • Shift 3 (4:00pm – 9:30pm): Registration and Auction Assist – Check in guests and assist with live auction and checkout
  • Shift 4 (5:00pm – 9:00pm): Main Tasting Volunteers – Assist with sections of our main tasting including the photo booth, Restaurant Row, and answering guests’ questions. Then assist the chefs as they load out their materials.

Bonus: You’ll have a break to sample the delicious food provided by the chefs.
