Laura Crandall Brown Foundation

The Laura Crandall Brown Foundation (LCBF) was founded in 2009 after the death of Laura Crandall Brown from ovarian cancer at the age of 25. Originally, the foundation’s sole mission was to fund ovarian cancer early detection research. Since its founding, the organization has expanded its programs to include both GYN cancer awareness and patient support. Since 2011, the foundation has granted over $400,000 for innovative early detection research. Last year, LCBF educated more than 8,000 Alabamians on GYN cancer prevention and awareness, and our patient support program reached more than 1,200 women and their families, providing a variety of support services, including in-person and/or virtual support, patient/survivor education, transportation, and financial assistance.  Learn more at www.ThinkofLaura.org
